Services

No. Physiotherapists commonly assess patients without the need for a referral from a GP or specialist.

ALL appointments run for 30 minutes.

We understand that life gets busy, but we prefer 12 hours’ notice if you need to change your appointment. Last minute cancellations or patients who do not attend their appointment may incur a $50 cancellation fee for 1:1 appointments and $20 cancellation fee for Clinical Rehab Appointments.

We stock a variety of products including pillows (customised and fitted to your neck), braces, CAM Walkers, sports tape, foam rollers, anti-inflammatory creams, weights and Therabands. We can also order most sports and therapeutic products for you.

Yes. Physiotherapists can refer you for some radiology services that are fully covered by Medicare. These include general x-rays for selected regions of the body. Physiotherapists may refer you for MRI or ultrasound but without rebate, thus a gap fee will apply.

Yes. For our patients’ convenience, we have a 10-car parking area (including a disability car space). Entry is on Bithel Street, just off High Street Road. We also have excellent wheelchair access into and around our clinic.

Costs & Rebates

Our fees consider the specialist skills of our practitioners and their clinical experience. We pride ourselves on having reasonable consultation fees for assessments and treatment. Please call one of our friendly receptionists on 9802 3611 for further information.

Yes. Please present any student cards, Health Care or pensioner cards at reception to be eligible for discounted prices.

Patients with chronic medical conditions and requiring long term care may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM, formerly known as EPC) rebate through Medicare. This is part of a Team Care Arrangement (TCA) prepared by the patient’s GP. Please bring all relevant paperwork with you to your appointment and notify your physiotherapist of such plans. Please note that we are not a bulk billing clinic, so a small gap fee will apply.

No, you do not need Private Health Insurance, in order to book a consult with one of our physiotherapists. Please check with your chosen health fund whether you have “Extras Cover” for physiotherapy to be eligible. As Glen Waverley’s Medibank Member’s First Physiotherapy Clinic, we offer discounted prices to all Medibank Private Members with Physiotherapy cover. All HCF members receive one gap-free consultation per year as part of the More for Muscles Program.

We are happy to take on any third-party cases. We excel at liaising with GPs, specialists and lawyers to provide insurance and medical reports. We also offer care to NDIS patients on approved self-managed plans.

No, we are a private clinic and do not bulk bill our services.

Essentially, yes. Following the Private Health Insurance (PHI) reforms from 1 April 2019, our physiotherapists must (as we have always done) comply with small group session outlines that involve:

  • Conducting an initial assessment
  • Monitor and cater to each patient’s individual needs
  • Take clinical notes that reflect physiotherapy exercises, not solely Clinical Pilates. We incorporate many aspects of exercise rehabilitation into your tailored and structured program.

The service descriptor for a small physiotherapy group consultation can continue to be claimed where the private health insurance company allows for it. As your treating physiotherapists, we will provide you with a clinically relevant treatment program, monitor your progress and document accordingly. For more information or clarification on the PHI reforms, please call our reception or contact your private health insurance company for more details.
